Feeling lucky?
Double or nothing. This download features 2 games in 1!
Stakes puts you in a back-alley hustle: three cups, one ball. Win and your filthy cash doubles. Lose and you’re back to nothing. The longer you play, the nastier it gets—cats leap onto the table, the ground shakes, lights stutter, spiders crawl across your vision and more unfortunate distractions keep you on your toes. The dealer smirks as your luck runs out. His goons grip their guns as you beat the odds. Can you push past the bad luck and claw your way over $100?
Stakes II takes you deeper down the unlucky rabbit hole. Russian Roulette in a smoke-choked dive. You pick your hustler, one of three broken souls, two locked away until you’ve proven yourself worthy, each carrying their own unique stats, edge and curse. You load the revolver. Spin the chamber. Put it to your head. Pull. Outlive your opponent and unlock more. Or don’t.
⚠️ Discretion Advised: Stakes II contains a stylized but explicit headshot mechanic. You’ve been warned.
Both games drip with the trademark Gutterspawn grime and style and pump to an original killer soundtrack written and produced by Gutterspawn & Longshot.
Created for Game Jam 13, under the themes Gameboy and “Unlucky.”

This game nearly broke me but i loved it. I loved the art, i loved all of the distractions you face, I do wish there was a little more indication of when you find the right cup, but otherwise this was a really fun experience! Would LOVE to see more of Stakes II 😭
